UEFers to learn about 2023 Korean Study Abroad Program

APRIL 14 - The Department of Korean Language - Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, in coordination with the UEF International Institute, held a consultation on the Korean Study Abroad Program at UEF with the aim of delivering information on cultural exchange and language learning programs in Korea to UEFers.


The meeting had the presence of Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh –Deputy Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures, Head of the Korean Language Department, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh – Deputy Director, UEF International Institute, and the Korean Study Abroad Program interested UEFers.

Ms. Pham Thi Thuy Linh provided details on several programs which involve cultural exchange and language learning, including Keimyung University Summer Camp, Busan University of Foreign Studies Summer Camp, Chungbuk National University Exchange Program, Busan University of Foreign Studies Exchange Program, and Keimyung University Exchange Program. The two summer camps last from one to three weeks, while the other programs last from three to six months.

Appealing activities in Korean study abroad programs attracting UEFers’ attentions

 

Ms. Huynh Tu Anh explained the requirements for participating in the exchange programs, comprise of being at least a UEF sophomore, majoring in Korean Language, having a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 / 4.0 scale, having proficiency in English and Korean and obtaining at least TOPIK level 5 to sign in for Chungbuk National University program.

In addition, Ms. Huynh Tu Anh also added that the targeted total for exchange programs is 6 students. During the consultation session on studying abroad in Korean, students actively asked various questions regarding the application documents for these programs.

Thanks to UEF’s partnership with reputable universities in all parts of the world, UEFers are given plenty of opportunities for partaking in professional development, exchange and pathways programs. Hopefully, UEF students will prepare for the best, set the right goals and make a reasonable study plan to have a chance to study in Korean.
