Specifically, for the academic year 2023 - 2024, UEF has significantly expanded this program in both scale and participants numbers. When will students participate in the International Semester in 2024?
In the academic year 2023-2024, UEF will implement the International Semester program in Semester 2B and the summer semester. Specifically:
Semester 2B: Students shall register for the international semester by March 24, 2024. The study abroad program will last for one month (from May 20, 2024 to June 16, 2024). UEFers will study and exchange at two prestigious Malaysian universities: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and HELP University in Sarawak.
Summer semester: The deadline for students to register for participation in this international semester is April 28, 2024. They will spend one month abroad for experience and study, as they did in the previous semester (from July 22 to August 18, 2024). In this international program, apart from studying at the two universities in Malaysia, UEFers will also have the opportunity to explore, exchange, and learn at Tongmyong University (TU) in South Korea.
Students enrolling in the international semester in 2024 will have two options for studying abroad.
This semester is designed for all UEF students who have a desire for short-term study abroad to enhance their knowledge and develop their skills in an international environment.

Participating in the international semester requires UEF students to utilize English entirely during their study abroad experience. As a result, this is a chance for students to improve their language proficiency, cultivate their courage, and gain confidence while in English communication with others.
Furthermore, the one-month abroad period allows students to gain valuable experience as a "true" international student. They will have the chance to participate in academic activities with international lecturers and friends, as well as immerse themselves in the tourism and culture of a new country, meet new people, and expand their global network.
