UEF welcomes experts from Japan Foundation

MARCH 3 - In order to assess the situation of Japanese language teaching and discuss training programs for faculty members, UEF Faculty of Languages ​​and International Cultures organized a meeting with experts from the Japan Foundation. 

The meeting honorably had the presence of Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than – Dean, Faculty of Languages ​​and International Cultures; and Japanese language faculty members.

On Japan Foundation’s behalf, there were Ms. Fuji Mai and Ms. Kurita Emiko – Japanese language experts.

At the meeting, Japan Foundation’s experts listened to the current situation of UEF's Japanese language training, difficulties and inquiries of Japanese language faculty members.

The Japan Foundation representatives emphasized that the Foundation always provides various training programs for UEF faculty members to hone their teaching skills.

Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than expected that UEF and the Japan Foundation would cooperate in organizing programs to assist faculty members in updating and sharpening their Japanese language teaching skills.

 

The meeting opened up numerous opportunities to improve the Japanese language program at UEF

Previously, the Japan Foundation offered books and textbooks to UEF. In this meeting, the experts also responded to questions about those books as well as introduced the textbook IRODORI Japanese for Life in Japan for junior and senior students.

After the meeting, experts from the Japan Foundation attended a Japanese class and visited the facilities at UEF.

Hopefully, with the support of the Japan Foundation, UEF's Japanese language programs will be further upgraded and developed in the coming time.
