UEFers learn about “Go Global” program in partnership with Meiji University, Japan

MAY 31 - After the successful implementation of quality networking programs, the UEF Faculty of Languages and International Cultures continues to cooperate with G.A Consultant Vietnam Co., Ltd to organize practical learning programs for students specializing in Japanese Language. On that day, the Faculty held a meeting introducing the “Go Global” program which will take place in September 2023.

The event honorably featured Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than - Dean, Faculty of Languages and International Cultures; Mr. Hoang Vu Duc - Lecturer of Japanese Language major. On the partner’s behalf, there was Ms. Mitsuo Kumiko - in charge of international cooperation of the G.A Consultant and Ms. Ma Thai Vy - an Employee of the G.A Consultant.

By joining Go Global, 8 UEF students with N3 level (or equivalent Japanese proficiency) are going to collaborate with 17 students from Meiji University. Accordingly, every 4 Japanese students will be teamed up with 2 UEFers to implement the project.

Each group will conduct questionnaires, and surveys on the topic "dream", "future job",... The groups analyze, synthesize and present at the end of the term. Before the official launching of the program in September 2023, UEFers are going to welcome Japanese students to have an exchange and discussion.

According to Dr. Vo Van Thanh Than, Meiji is a large university in Japan. “As you arrive at today’s event, you have the opportunity to gain more insights into the process and how to write an impressive CV to participate in the interview. This program will offer useful and interesting experiences as groups of students implement projects and topics on order. Working with Japanese students will help you develop your Japanese proficiency language ability, and at the same time expand your network of connections with international friends," he emphasized.

Detailed schedule:

- June 1 - June 5: receiving registration CVs from students.

- June 7th: holding an interview.

- September 4 - September 10: implementing the program.
 

Students raised more questions about the program to have the best preparation


This program enables students to not only cultivate and develop Japanese proficiency but also learn professional and casual knowledge with international partners. In addition, this is also an opportunity for students to improve many essential soft skills such as communication, presentation, teamwork, persuasion, critical thinking, etc.
