The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the world’s most popular high-stakes English language proficiency test for study, work, and migration with more than two million tests taken in the past year.
The IELTS is the product of three co-owners: IDP, British Council, and Cambridge English Language Assessment. The goals of this system are to evaluate the four English skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking) and improve its criteria for more accurate results in the future.
IELTS results are recognized by more than 9,000 organizations, including educational institutions, employers, professional associations and government. IELTS test content is developed by an international team of experts and undergoes extensive research to ensure the test remains fair and unbiased for any candidate regardless of nationality, background, gender, lifestyle or location.
